Located at the Rock Island Arsenal, an island of Rock Island, Il.
Quarters One work began- Under General Thomas Rodman in May of 1870 and was completed under Major Flagler in 1872. The home was built for the purpose of providing quarters for the highest-ranking officers as well as providing space for official gatherings and functions.
The First Major gathering was in 1871 for the funeral of General Rodman.
Over the years many dignitaries and notable personalities stayed at the residence including Charles Lindbergh in 1927, King Carl XVI Gustav and Queen Silvia of Sweden in 1996. In 2006, the army decided to discontinued its use as a residence. the last occupants, Maj. Gen and Mrs. Robert M. Radin, left in 2008.
Tours are offered occasionally and the building is available to rent for weddings, bridal parties and other social ceremonial events; including in those events is paranormal get togethers, leading to many investigations throughout the years.
Our Story Behind the Investigation
July 2023, we joined another paranormal group, ILPRG (Illinois Paranormal Research Group) to embark on an investigation like no other. As they showed us the house, both Chris and Ryne were in Aww. The house was huge, the energy there was there, but not bad energy either. We all gathered at the dining table to do a quick Dual Estes session hosted by the ILPRG. We/they needed to find out what’s been going on around the house since ILPRG hadn’t been there in a while.
General Rodman was very concerned about the “construction/renovations in the house and other things. Unfortunately we cannot disclose certain information on that due to non-disclosure.
